Shopify Meetup #09 -1

Berlin Shopify Meetup #09 - Date: December, 4 2018 - Location: Newsletter2Go Office

Community announcements:

A new record was set: With over 120 signups for the meetup and even 50 more on the waiting list, this meetup exceeded our expectations and set a new record in terms of number of participants. Despite the cold and also the busy Christmas seasons more participants than ever made their way to our meetup. We feel really glad and proud. Thanks!

Welcome to the Community: A big welcome from Hagen, the German partnership manager from Shopify Germany and Adrian, Shopify expert from Tante-E.com and also host of the Berlin Meetups. We are proud to have such a growing community and encouraged everybody to raise their questions if they had some to see together how to solve them.

A Shopify app from the community for the community:  Applab24, Berlin developers who joined together with Shopify Expert Adrian, started on developing a new upsell app that is legally compliant with EU regulations. They presented their progress and invited the Berlin Meetup members to join their beta.

Presentations:

A big thanks goes this time to our speakers, Mauricio from Urbanara and Mara from Newsletter2Go.

Mauricio took us on their road in the past of migrating from the shop platform Prestashop over to Shopify Plus. He shared their experiences along the way, their biggest challenges and how they overcame them. One of the major tools he recommended was the page builder app Shogun.
Urbanara is a Shopify Plus store with a 7-digit+ revenue, television and billboard advertisements and even an own retail store. They are one of the leading German Shopify Shops and are also part of our Berlin Shopify Community.

Mara is a true expert on Email Marketing and continuously holds speeches and shares her advice with her audience, this time with our Shopify Berlin Community. From how to increase delivery likelihood of emails over how to improve opening rates, click rates until the overall conversion rate of email marketing campaigns, she shared a lot of examples and valuable advice.

This time we had some really interesting deep dives into a variety of topics. And this despite the very cozy atmosphere and seating situation as well as heat in the room. Therefore everybody was enjoying even more the fresh drinks and food afterwards. It was the first time outside of our previous location at WeWork and we could not have loved it more: The networking continued until late that night.

Save the date & join the group!

Our next meetups will take place in March 2019. You can always find the most recent updates about our Shopify Meetups Berlin here.

Until then join our Facebook group where we keep in touch and give updates. I will update you once the tickets go live.

Excited to seeing you at future meetups!
