1. Guide: How to install apps on Shopify
Installing an app in Shopify is easy and almost self-explanatory. Once you've found an interesting app in the App Store that you'd like to use for your online store, simply click the INSTALL button on the details page.

If you're already logged into your online store, an overview will open with all relevant information about the app and its usage. This will show you which permissions the app requires and which data is shared. You can review everything again and decide whether you want to install the app.

To continue, click INSTALL again. The app will now automatically install in the background and be added to your online store. This usually only takes a few seconds before you'll be redirected to the app's home screen.
On the app's homepage, you'll have various settings options available, depending on the app. You can configure the app, adjust settings, and store the desired information so that the app functions as intended in your store.
In order for the app to become active in your store and its functionality to be used, you usually have to activate it in the app settings.
Give yourself plenty of time to get used to a new app. Installing an app is quick and easy, but the actual settings and customization often take more time. Learn more about our top 10 Shopify apps that every merchant should know in our blog.
2. Access installed apps in Shopify
If you've already installed an app in your online store and want to access it again, it's easy. In your online store account, go to Apps in the left menu. A dropdown menu will open below your search bar, displaying all the apps installed in the online store. Browse the list and simply click on the app you want.
This will take you to the app's home screen, where you can adjust or check any settings you want.

Once you've opened an app and are on the home screen, you can adjust all of its settings from there. The options vary depending on the app. We recommend that you first familiarize yourself with the app after installation and explore all its capabilities.
Many apps also have a comprehensive help center that collects questions, tips, and answers about using the app. If you encounter any problems, all apps also offer customer service, which you can contact via email or chat.

3. Remove apps from Shopify
Uninstalling an app is just as easy as installing it. Shopify offers two ways to remove apps: through your online store and through the settings.
3.1. Uninstalling Shopify apps via your own online store
When you're in the app's home area, you'll usually find a button with three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. This represents the menu with additional options. Click on it to open an overview with additional options. Here, you can remove the app from your online store by clicking Uninstall.

3.2. Uninstall Shopify Apps via Settings
Another way to remove an app from your online store is in the Settings section. There, under Apps and Sales Channels, you'll find all installed apps and sales channels. Select the app and click Uninstall to remove it from your online store.
