Customize your domain on Shopify - in two steps:
1. Changing your domain - What you need to know
What do you need to consider when considering giving your shop a new domain? Here are some tips from our agency experience:
- Opportunity for repositioning: Rebranding with a new domain essentially allows you to reposition your brand in the market, for example, to better respond to changes in your target audience or market conditions.
- Renewing your image: A new domain can help improve your store's image, modernize it, and make it more relevant for today's world.
- Avoid confusion: If you are switching your domain, ideally choose a time with the lowest possible traffic to make the switch in order to minimize downtime and the impact on your customers.
- Consider SEO consequences: Switching may result in short-term ranking losses. Keep your SEO measures up to date to maintain or improve visibility.
