Teveo: Increasing online shop performance through a relaunch

In order to further increase the performance of our online shop and take it to a new level, we carried out an online shop relaunch with a tailor-made design.

With a relaunch of its own Shopify online shop, Teveo was able to sustainably increase the shop's performance and keep it consistently at the new level.

  • The initial situation

    Teveo is one of the leading brands on Shopify Plus in German-speaking countries, having made a name for itself particularly in the gym and fitness industry. Its product portfolio ranges from leggings and pants to hoodies and shorts and long-sleeved shirts, and represents an elegant, sporty lifestyle. The brand was launched by influencer Amelie and has positioned itself as an established player in the industry through targeted and clever influencer marketing.

  • The challenge

    Despite successful social media marketing and a growing product portfolio, Teveo's online store wasn't receiving the attention it needed. E-commerce best practices weren't implemented, and the company lacked the flexibility to offer bundles and sets in addition to individual products. Due to rapid growth, the company lacked the time and expertise to optimize the online store itself and take it to the next level.

  • The solution approach

    As the leading Shopify Plus agency in German-speaking countries, tante-e stepped in and took on this challenge. Within four weeks, a new shop concept was developed, a user journey defined, and a suitable shop structure created. After another four weeks, a customized, modern, and simple design was created and implemented, focusing on the products and product photos. This design was then implemented and custom-programmed for Teveo in the following weeks.

The implementation

Individual design

The new design was clean, modern, and minimalist, creating ample space for Teveo's products and photos. Simple, elegant colors were used to support the sporty, elegant brand identity. Navigation bars and buttons were deliberately kept understated to focus on the products.

Optimized mobile menu:

When designing the mobile menu, the focus was on striking a balance between appealing visuals and optimal clarity. Thumbnails and precise categorizations enabled customers to access the desired products in just a few clicks. Intuitively designed dropdown menus ensured a high level of user-friendliness.

Category pages

The category pages were specifically optimized for mobile use. Products were presented clearly and concisely, with clearly visible pricing and shopping cart buttons. A well-designed filter allowed customers to quickly and easily find the products they were looking for. Bubbles at the top of the page allowed for quick switching between categories without having to resort to the menu.

Involvement of influencers

Since Teveo relies heavily on influencers, they have now been highlighted in the shop. A dedicated "Influencer World" was created, where some of Teveo's brand ambassadors present their favorite products. This created an additional entry point into the shop and simultaneously showcased the connection between the influencers and the brand in the shop.

Product pages

The product pages presented the most important product information elegantly. Clear bullet points and icons helped to grasp all relevant information at a glance. Additional product information was placed in dropdown menus to maintain clarity and avoid overwhelming customers with information.

Cross-selling module

To increase the shopping cart value, a "Complete the Look" feature was introduced on the product page. This suggested suitable products that could be ideally combined with the selected item. With one click, these products could be added directly to the shopping cart, simplifying the shopping process for customers.

internationalization

A key step in the implementation was the introduction of a multilingual website. The use of Shopify Markets in conjunction with a language app enabled consistent and user-friendly language switching. Further adjustments were also made to accommodate the needs of the various international markets.

The results

The implementation led to a clear increase in performance KPIs and a higher average shopping cart value. Furthermore, the smart design of the backend modules enables easy handling of the shop and saves time.

Lessons Learned

Teveo's case study demonstrates that even with a strong focus on social media and marketing, it's important to operate a professional and optimized online store.
