The initial situation
Founded in 2015, buah is known for its freeze-dried berries and tropical fruits, which are characterized by a vitamin-preserving method. The company saw rapidly increasing sales and decided to take the next steps in digitalization and shop optimization to both improve the user experience for its customers and expand internationally.

The challenge
Customers needed to be able to quickly discover and understand the various products. The presentation of the sets was particularly crucial. These needed to communicate the benefits, components, and detailed information effectively and clearly. Furthermore, the new shop setup needed to facilitate seamless and effective market entry into new countries. Language localization, separate domains, and a seamless shopping experience across different markets were particularly important here.

The results
buah benefits from an optimized Shopify store that incorporates the latest e-commerce tools and best practices. The optimized presentation of product sets and category changes, in particular, significantly improves user-friendliness. Furthermore, the brand was able to enter the Dutch market with the same store as in Germany, thus expanding internationally without significant additional effort.
Lessons Learned
The joint project between buah and tante-e demonstrates that a powerful, theme-based setup with Shopify creates a solid foundation for specialized further developments, such as flexible internationalization and the implementation of an intuitive customer experience. The online shop can thus continue to grow both nationally and internationally.
