The initial situation
BADESOFA is a company specializing in the production and sale of innovative self-care products. Starting with a unique bath sofa that brings the comfort of a sofa into the bathtub, the company has since developed into a leading brand in the field of home wellness. Led by co-founders Annika and Nathalie, BADESOFA has sold 85,000 products to date and now has a team of 14 employees.

The challenge
Although BADESOFA had already achieved initial success, it quickly became clear that its existing e-commerce setup was no longer able to meet the company's growing needs. The JIMDO-based online store created unnecessary manual workloads, such as creating invoices and processing orders. Furthermore, the store wasn't connected to a professional warehouse, creating additional burdens and challenges.
Additionally, BADESOFA faced the challenge of managing the impending onslaught of traffic from its appearance on the startup show "Die Höhle der Löwen." They needed a modern online shop that could not only withstand the expected traffic peak but also optimally represent BADESOFA's brand identity.

The solution approach
The solution was to support BADESOFA in transitioning to a professional e-commerce setup with Shopify. A new design based on a premium mobile theme, optimized for product presentation, was introduced. To reduce manual effort and streamline the sales process, relevant Shopify apps were integrated and retention marketing was improved.

The results
By implementing these measures, BADESOFA was able to further accelerate its growth and now boasts over 85,000 sold products. The appearance on the startup show "Die Höhle der Löwen" (The Lion's Den) was a huge success; not only was the shop able to handle the high traffic, but it also achieved sales records. The shop won the 2022 Shop Usability Awards in Munich for its outstanding online shop.
